Why We're Going All in on Whop

And I mean all in.

Here’s why we made this decision

And where the opportunities lies for you as a business owner.

(Whether you use Whop or any other processor)

As you might be aware, I developed and run LeadsAutopilot, the LinkedIn growth software for agencies and coaches.

And we previosuly used both Stripe and Whop -

Some members came in through a funnel using Stripe.

Some members came in through a funnel using Whop.

And we’ve noticed something interesting.

Whop subscribers don’t give us problems.

Better retention.

No disputes.

And they refer their contacts.

So I had to ask myself why that is.

And it think it comes down to three factors.

  1. Whop attracts a different kind of buyer

People who discover us from the Whop marketplace are usually in the info/coaching space

They’re already familiar with subscription based businesses.

And they understand results take time.

They don’t expect to subscribe for one month and be set for life.

Whether you decide to use Whop or not, understanding who you attract is essential.

  1. Checkouts have built in social-proof

You see ratings and reviews directly on the checkout page, unlike Stripe.

Customers understand they’re buying software from a vetted platform, not some unknown website.

And if someone buys through Whop, they’ve likely already done research and are less likely to panic and chargeback.

Social proof can’t be understated for your business.

  1. The platform handles subscriptions and reduces churn

Since Whop is a curated platform, users trust what they buy, leading to fewer cancellations.

Plus, Whop makes it stupidly simple to cancel your membership. If you’re not getting value for your money, you’re just a click away from cancelling.

And Whop makes sure renewals go through smoothly, meaning fewer failed payments and disputes.

My thesis is as follows:

Stripe customers are more transactional, while Whop customers are more relationship-driven.

No matter what platform you choose, attracting relationship-driven customers and maintaining that relationship is key.
